Album d'esordio per una band di cui si legge tanto ma si è riusciti ad ascoltare davvero poco. The Vaccines sono ovunque, dai magazine alle scatoline di Zigulì col loro nome sopra (true story: a Roma non sono arrivate, ma in città appena più evolute sì). La band si è formata a giugno dell'anno scorso. Dopo neanche un anno arriva un album attorno al quale si è creata un'attesa sproporzionata. L'album in questione non ha niente di originale; per carità non sempre questo è un difetto. In questo caso, però, lo è.

C'è un bel post a riguardo scritto da Colas che forse per la prima volta si tuffa nel genere. Post ricco di link a cover e video di Single Ladies, ormai storico singolo di Beyoncé. Correva l'anno 2008. E ancora c'è gente non stanca di cimentarsi nell'ennesima cover.

Non è che non mi piacciano gli LCD Soundsystem, figuriamoci, ho ascoltato il loro primo album fino allo sfinimento. Correva il 2005. Probabilmente è proprio questo il motivo: we never really got over 2005.

Stavolta faremo un'eccezione, un po' per il titolo della canzone, un po' perché nel singolo c'è anche un remix di Tiga e non vorrei ripetermi ma abbiamo tutti bisogno di tamarraggine.
